I've struggled with how to lose weight most of my life.  I need to lose probably 20 pounds.  Years ago I lost weight by not eating as much, taking stimulants and running.  Yes, this was not the correct way to lose weight, but hey I wanted instant gratification, or as close to it as possible.  When I pulled my hamstring, my running slowed to a stop.

Fast forward 20 years and I still have struggled with weight and exercise.  So, as the clock ticks, I become more concerned about my weight.  I went to Barnes and Noble to see what books they had on weight loss.  Not to my surprise they had plenty of "how to" books.  It was apparent that people were making money writing books.  If everyone of these authors suggest a weight loss cure, then there is absolutely no reason why we as a nation are obese.  Here are some examples: 

Cut carbs
Cut fats
Cut protein
Cut sugar
Eat more to lose weight
Portion control
Eat for your blood type
Calorie count
Eat for you body type 
Calorie shifting

Then I decided to check the internet and got even more confused.  To see how many "diets" there are, click HERE.  They all cannot work, or, like I said, we would not have a weight problem in America.

So, which one did I choose?  None of them.  I chose Standard Process.  The same company I use to order most of my supplements from.  Only this isn't really a weight loss program.  It is a purification program that allows you to lose weight.

However, I am approaching this as a weight loss program and what I receive in return is a body cleanse, whole food nutrition, proper eating habits and weight loss.  It does not entail a gimmick like all the other diets out there.  It's 21 days.  21 days to change your life.  It doesn't require you to go through an extreme eating change, unless you have been living on fast food.  But it does incorporate good, solid whole food supplements and nutrition - how can you beat that? 

There are suggestive guide lines to follow, to minimize certain foods at first and then incorporate them back into your eating habit after the 21 days.  But this is done not because of weight loss, but to see if you have a problem with that particular food you are reintroducing, such as meat, eggs, dairy, etc. 

Certain foods sensitivities can go undetected and present themselves in symptomatic ways, such as headaches, fatigue, stomach and digestive upset, joint stiffness, sluggish thoughts, skin irritation, and many other conditions.

This program is exceptional in that it doesn't make you hostage to a particular diet.  It is just good nutrition that is good for you, and you can regain your health and lose weight in the process.  That's a win-win situation if I ever saw one.
